Gligora will bring the perfect flavours of tradition to your table

Gligora's history stretches back to the far away past and it perfectly portrays the family's expertise, spirit and passion that have been converted into a perfect product. The Gligora cheese factory's founder, Ivan Gligora, actually came to inherit his fondness for cheese-making from his grandfather, whose expertise and skills were handed down to the next generations. To further enhance the production of the famous Pag cheese, Ivan enlisted in a dairy school and landed a job at a dairy, where he gained hands-on cheese-making expertise. Finally, he decided to return to his birthplace to set up a small cheese dairy, the products of which we still love today and for which he has received a number of awards and acknowledgments.

With the expansion of the factory, the number of employees also grew and new sales outlets were created, adding other product ranges that perfectly match the offering of cheeses and dairy products, such as cured meat products and traditional sweets. Gligora equally is credited for the great promotional impact on the region from which the product originates, as one of the best-known export brands, and it also boosts the domestic economy by procuring raw materials from local subcontractors. Every year, over 450 tonnes of different types of cheese are manufactured at the Gligora cheese factory. And this inspiring family history is entwined in each mouthful of delicacies that are sure to delight you and that will surely provide you with the most enjoyable moments when socialising and when toasting or celebrating the most fortunate events. Treat yourself to domestic flavours that exude tradition and quality.
